After a bone (for example, fracture repair) or joint (for example, cruciate ligament repair) surgery, your dog enters a healing phase. Your veterinarian will probably recommend you keep your dog calm for days, or even weeks, and not let it run within that time. Once this phase is over, your dog can resume its ordinary physical activity, be it walks, runs in the garden or in the park with its mates, or a sport. It is important that it returns to normal activity progressively to prevent further injury. It can be useful to provide your dog with food supplements that help muscle recuperation, fight inflammation, or help to promote good joint health during their recovery.
