For 30 years MP Labo has been concerned about the way its products are manufactured and questions its environmental impact.
The need to go one step further than simple awareness required action.
The social and environmental impact of our business is of great concern to us: that’s why we are committed. We have the satisfaction of better preparing our common future by contributing, at our scale, to greater corporate responsibility and to the recognition of our conscientious customers who appreciate serious and concrete environmental commitment.
1% for the planet
Logically, from the creation of its new Phytobiovet® range, MP Labo wanted to join 1% for the Planet, an alliance of companies around the world that understood the necessity of protecting the natural environment. As a member of 1% for the Planet with Phytobiovet®, MP Labo seeks to promote real change, by leading by example for employees and customers. MP Labo has chosen to donate 1% of the turnover of the Phytobiovet® range to associations acting for the environment and approved 1% for the Planet.
Univet Nature
As a company invested in animal health, at MP Labo we support Univet Nature which helps those acting locally in favor of the most threatened ecosystems in the world.
As a partner of the veterinary NGO Univet Nature, we contribute to the action of the Center for the Study and Discovery of Marine Turtles to rehabilitate the marine turtle nesting beaches in la Réunion island.
Friend of the Sea
Concerned about preserving natural resources, for the choice of our ingredients from the sea, we collaborate with the label Friend of the Sea®, which is the main certification standard for products and services that respect and protect the marine environment. The certification awards sustainable practices in the areas of fishing, aquaculture, fishmeal and omega-3 fish oil.
ECOCERT
ECOCERT, a body that monitors and provides organic and environmental certification, has created the reference system for the control of animal care products: Ecosoins for animals. This approach considers ecological practice in its entirety, including the environmental impact of hygiene and care products, by defining demanding quality criteria, and by considering the entire transformation process.
Translating our ECOSOIN ORGANIC ECO PETCARE commitments into concrete actions means:
- Favor natural and / or renewable resources over any other origin
- Favor agro-resources from organic farming
- Favor formulations with the least possible environmental impact
- Favor the least environmentally harmful transformation processes
- Guarantee transparency with regards to the consumer, through simple standardized communication and rigorously monitored traceability.
